Huge “thank you” to all those who have helped me learn and grow as a UX researcher.
Teena Singh
Teena Singh is my manager for my internship at ServiceNow. She is an expert UX researcher with extensive experience in industry. Most of the knowledge I present in this portfolio comes directly from her or from a resource she pointed me to. All of the industry experience I gained in summer 2020 has been thanks to Teena. She knows her field so well that she can explain it to a kindergartner.
Jaime Levy
Jaime Levy is the author of UX Strategy and taught a class at my graduate school in Spring 2020. My entire UX Strategy section was inspired by her lectures and her book. She taught the entire process of UX strategy in a semester- from brainstorming app ideas to testing their viability. I’m especially grateful for all the individualized help she provided and her flexibility in teaching this subject during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Kathy Pezdek
Dr. Kathy Pezdek was my advisor at Claremont Graduate University. She provided invaluable help in writing, conducting rigorous research, and performing/presenting statistical analyses. She goes to bat for her students to ensure that we get the most out of our education (frequent lab meetings, inviting exciting speakers, creating new classes when needed, and opportunities for professional development).
Dr. Jason Siegel
Dr. Jason Siegel taught Survey Research Methods at Claremont Graduate University- the most useful and thorough class I’ve ever taken. Over the course of a year, we learned the ins and outs of good survey writing and design, wrote and distributed our own survey, and completed a publishable academic research paper. Mine is submitted to a journal and it’s looking like it will be published later this year.
